Seth’s Blog: Flipping the Funnel–new ebook
I’m not sure how I missed this when it first came out, but Seth Godin has put together a great piece on enabling your sales team to become evangelists for your products. THe thing I really like about it is that it goes back to first principles from the Cluetrain Manifesto: markets are conversations. That is something I read very early on in my career that has really stuck with me. I agree that the more we can do to enable the conversation (both the good and the bad) the better we can be at marketing.
Now the challenge is getting a few other folks to buy in. We are close on getting an itnernal site set-up for blogging and poscatsing at my work, but a few of Seth’s ideas about having a tagging contest on del.icio.us with your customers are brilliant. Maybe somewhere else we can get movement earlier?
