Beam me up…and make me a Porsche while you're at it

Although I have joking referred to replicators in some of my posts on social production, it looks like some people are spending some serious time trying to figure out how to actually build them.  Not only that, they are making policy recommendations to avoid some Terminator like future.  It looks like 2020 will be the big year, so if I can just hold out until then, I can finally buy a machine to make me everything I’ve always wanted.  I wonder how replicated apple pie will taste?
