First fill-up

Well I ran through my first tank of gas on the Jetta today.  The trip odo read 576.3 and I put a little more than 14 gallons in it, for a first tank average of 40.7 MPG.  Mind you it was pretty hot this week so I ran the AC on the way home from work every day this week.  I was hoping for a bit better, but I guess I can’t be too upset with close to the EPA all highway rating…and close to double what I was getting with the van.
