Beam me up

It’s not quite the replicators that we were promised in Star Trek, but I for one am planning on building one of these to help me build my flying car.
On a serious note this is another step in the direction of social production.  As the “diminishing cost” trend that has been driving IT crosses over into manufacturing, more an more of the capabilities to make “things” that used to be the sole domain of manufacturers will come to the individual.  The users-as-developers meme will no longer be the sole domain of IT!
