Boy, has it been a while since my last post. I have been travelling every week this year so far save one and it looks like that will continue for the forseeable future. I almost liked it better when we were downsizing and sisn’t have money for web coferences, much less plan tickets!
Seriously, life has been really crazy. We had a great year last year at work and there were alot of happy people come bonus time. However, what they say is true: money can’t buy happiness. I have been on the road far too much to enjoy my family and am afraid I’m missing too much. What’s more, I’m not really sure I’m having a high impact at work. Trying to stay even keel, but it’s tough.
On the personal side, I have been able to keep alot of my hobbies running, just barely. Went to the wine festival lat week even though I had a cold. Nothing tasted right, but we still had a great time. Been getting very active in my church, which has been one very bright spot. Also been getting my home IT infrastructure in place. My web server is working to my liking an takes very little of my time. My myth PVR is really working well and I’m thinking of powering down my Tivo…never thought I’d get there.
